Kintsugi with Camilla

  • Bull Burford 105 High Street Burford, England, OX18 4QR United Kingdom (map)

Join us to experience the Japanese art of Kintsugi with Camilla

Attend our kintsugi workshops to learn the traditional Japanese restoration method of using Japanese lacquer, Urushi, to fix damaged bowls. These repaired pieces become genuinely one-of-a-kind works of art when they are exquisitely embellished with gold or silver.

Kintsugi is more than just a craft; it’s a philosophy centered around acceptance and personal growth. By highlighting the scars as a part of the object’s history, Kintsugi symbolizes embracing flaws and imperfections in our own lives. Therefore, this ancient technique serves as a metaphor, teaching us that setbacks can lead us to become even stronger and more beautiful.

Embrace the beauty of imperfection. Join our Kintsugi workshop and learn how to restore broken bowls with a touch of gold or silver. Rediscover balance, acceptance, and personal empowerment through this transformative art form.

All materials will be available, however, if you have any broken plates or crockery please bring them with you.

Join us for a drink before we get creative, or arrive at Bull by 5 pm, ready to start the evening with a burst of artistic energy.
